Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that melds traditional behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. This treatment approach is action-oriented and helps an individual reduce avoidant coping styles that prevent them from moving forward in a meaningful, compassionate and values-based way.  ACT can be applied to a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, school issues, obsessive compulsive, and trauma, among others.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a short-term, evidence-based form of psychotherapy that is based on the idea that thoughts and feelings affect behaviors. Treatment is collaborative and is focused on problem solving and changing thought patterns to positively effect change. CBT can be applied to a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive, and trauma, among others.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an in-depth form of talk therapy that focuses on uncovering repressed emotions and difficult feelings and how it currently effects interpersonal experiences and relationships. This work helps an individual reach a greater level of introspection, expression, and self-awareness. Psychodynamic psychotherapy can be applied to a wide range of issues such as depression, relationship issues, and shame/guilt, among others.

Polyvagal Informed

A polyvagal-informed therapist incorporates the principles of Polyvagal Theory into their therapeutic approach. Polyvagal Theory describes how the nervous system regulates emotional states and social engagement. A polyvagal-informed therapist uses this understanding to help clients regulate their nervous systems, manage stress, and improve their emotional well-being.

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is an evidence-based therapeutic tool designed to reset the nervous system and return it to safety. Designed to work with other therapeutic approaches and modalities, the SSP features specially filtered music that stimulates the vagus nerve.
